About Red Kite Psychology Services
Who we are
Dr Morag Watson and Dr Lindsay Chalton are HCPC registered Consultant Clinical Psychologists who live and work in the Highlands of Scotland.
We both work part time for the NHS (local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) and part time in private practice and each have over 16 years experience working as qualified psychologists with children, young people and families.
Our Services
We offer assessments for Autism and Learning Disability for children and young people, to provide a local choice for families who prefer not to wait for NHS/Council Services for these assessments.
We do not offer assessments for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Autism assessments are available for children aged 6-18 years, and Learning Disability assessments for children aged 8-18 years. It will be necessary for you and your child to travel to the Inverness area for one part of the assessment.
High Quality Assessments
We understand that parents/carers seek assessments for their child for many reasons. Often it is because their child is struggling in some way and as a parent/carer, you want to give them all the help that they need to thrive.
Our assessments follow the best clinical guidance (NICE) so that we can be confident in our conclusions and recommendations. It is our aim to provide you not just with a conclusion about diagnosis, but to also describe as much detail about your child's individual needs as we can.
